Kappalandi Muttai (Peanut Chikki)


Ingredients:

 Raw Peanuts - 1 1/2 cups
 Jaggery. - 3/4 cup
 Cardamom powder. - 1/2 tsp
 Water. - 2tsp

 Method

 Roast the peanuts until the skin breaks.
 Once it is cool take out the skin. Lightly crush the peanuts.

 Melt the Jaggery and filter it. In a pan pour the filtered Jaggery and bring it to the one string consistency.    Add cardamom powder and the crushed peanuts.
 Stir nicely.  Brush the plate with little ghee.
 Pour the peanut mixture in the plate and press it with a spoon. Allow it to cool.
 Once it is cools down cut it into squares.
 Now the kappandi muttai or Chikki is ready.
