Onion: 2 small
Grated Coconut: 3-4 tbsp
Jeera: 1tspSmall Onion: 2
Chilly Powder: 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder: 1/4 stp
Tamarind a small lemon size Take the pulp
Salt for taste
For the seasoning:
Coconut oil, Mustard seeds and Curry leaves
Method:
Cut pavakka (bitter gourd) and onion into length wise. Grind coconut, turmeric powder, chilly powder, jeera, small onion and keep it aside.
In a pan pour oil and put mustard seeds, curry leaves once the oil is heat. When the mustard seeds splutters put the cut pavakka and onion. Put some salt and fry it nicely till brown colour and pour some tamarind juice and keep the lid. Let them cook. Once the pavakka is cooked add the grinded paste and stir it nicely. If the pavakka is too bitter add some jaggery. Once the pavakka is cooked it is ready to serve.
