Chicken - 1/2 kg
Onion - 2 nos
Ginger chopped - 2 tsp
Garlic chopped - 2 tsp
Green chilly - 3-4
Tomato - 1
Turmeric powder - 1/2tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tbsp
Fennel seeds / perum jeerakam powder - 1 tsp
Crushed pepper - 2tsp
Garam masala- 1tsp
Coriander leaves to garnish
Salt as per taste
Oil, curry leaves
Chop onion length wise. Slit green chilly.
Pour oil in a heated pan. Add onion, green chillies, ginger, garlic. Fry it nicely
Reduce the heat to medium, cook covered for 5 minutes.
Add chicken once the onion turns brownish.
Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, and crushed pepper. Fry for a while.
At last add finely chopped tomatoes. Close the lid, let the chicken cooks in its own water.
Now u can add some water Till u get desired gravy consistency.
Atlast add garam masala, mix well and garnish it with chopped coriander leaves.
Now pepper chicken is ready to serve with rice or chappathi.
